They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.

And add some extra, just for you.

By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy- stern
And half at one another's throats.

such powerful and harsh words... and yet the paintings tell a different story, that it matters to stay there and fight.

ReplyDeleteParents may do all sorts of things to their children. But first they gave them life. Which means they gave them the chance to be human too.
