ahhhhh ..... I love the work of William Carlos Williams .... the subtlety of a true word master!
Many consider his poetry to be rather simple minded (as though any 5 year old could paint a Jackson Pollock!)
I'm thrilled to see him do here in this poem what I LOVE to do with his work: to go back into the beginning stanzas and re-arrange words to expand the meaning of the entire work itself. He truly looks at the words 'themselves' - how they react sitting next to another; how they look; feel in the rhythm of voice.

i was aware of the imagist poets, though not as such, but really had not read them in any depth, but as i began to learn of their relationship to japonisme i began to feature them here.
