Inspirational because at the turn of the century, there were so many wonderful figure [and landscape] painters whose work had such warmth.
I love Richard E. Miller's work; always makes me happy. And to see the Chase pastel triggers fond memories for me of the days I studied painting in Provincetown, at the plein air school originally founded by one of Chase's most prominent and devoted students, Charles Hawthorne.
