nice image. are you familiar with the work of Alvin Langdon Coburn? He was a Pictorialist photographer and was greatly influenced by Japanese woodblock prints. I enjoy your blog very much, by the way.

i just want to say that if it appears i have not responded to a post, though i'll try to remember to do as well, i've generally responded on the poster's own page. as i did to galessa--her find was quite interesting!

pinholeman--wow--thanks! i'll do an entry about that. i see he studied with dow, who has fairly recently had a museum exhibition with his photographs.
